Simulation of Groundwater Flow Through
A Tertiary Fanglomerate Aquifer

Groundwater resources in a tertiary fanglomerate aquifer were potentially affected by remedial groundwater pumping. An assessment of the extent to which drinking water supplies could be developed and sustained from the aquifer was needed. Hydro Geo Chem developed a three-dimensional numerical groundwater flow model of the aquifer in Central Arizona as part of an ongoing groundwater remedial effort at an Arizona mine site (extended project description).

Water Supply in a Contaminated Basin

The quality of shallow groundwater supplies in a semi–arid central Arizona basin had been compromised by human activity. There is no other source of water in the basin than groundwater. Hydro Geo Chem, Inc. designed and supervised the installation of 4 large–scale remedial wellfields as well as the installation of over 100 domestic water–supply wells in the past few years (extended project description).
